Here's a double play for a great score. In the last two weeks, not one (but two) classmates who have been missing since 1965 got in touch with us for the first time. They are Cheryl Black and Wendy Austin. Both have since been removed from the "missing" list. Cheryl found us through this website and Wendy located Eve Steccati's commercial art address and made contact. Remember, KEEP LOOKING for your classmates! To Cheryl and Wendy, please enjoy the photos of all the mature people on this website.

Tim Hallahan, the Chair of our 50th Reunion Committee confirmed today that our Class of '65's gift to Skyline High School of $1,000 worth of advanced placement science classroom textbooks and features to its Science Department has now been delivered to Dr. Ayo Akatugba. His words of thanks were:
"On behalf of the entire science department I want to thank you for providing these relevant books that our kids need to excel and succeed in AP science classes . Your kind gesture and support does indeed reflect your loyalty and commitment to the Skyline community. I will definitely email you as soon as I receive the books. Thanks for all you do to support our students. Go Titans!!!"
A special thanks and credit goes to our classmate Rick Kirske, who led this effort with SHS beginning just after the decision was made by your Committee to target a specific gift toward a need that would have the greatest impact on Skyline students.

The 50th Reunion Planning Committee met today by phone conference for a final de-briefing evaluation of the events of September 25-27, 2015 which constituted our 50th. Central to the discussion was the evaluation document compiled by your Webmaster from anonymous participants who forwarded their answers to evaluation questions by the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday deadline.
All three reunion venues were reviewed and corrective actions or changes for future reunion logistics were discussed. As the main gathering's venue, Sequoyah Country Club scored well with the evaluation respondents and with the Reunion Committee. There were no serious problems, and those noted can be prevented if this venue was scheduled for a repeat reunion in the future (which the Committee is currently comfortable with). The Full Evaluation Report is available in a PDF format for those who'd like to review it.
In the financial area, the commercial video production of the reunion is extremely tardy, and after engagement with the producer by Committee representatives, delivery is expected soon. The 50th concluded with a final positive balance of approximately $2400. After a significant amount of discussion, it was decided that $1500 would be held back in reserve to seed the 55th reunion in 2020, and the remainder would be spent on a product-specific gift, delivered directly to an SHS department or program, based on local needs.
The 50th Reunion Committee thanks all who participated as guests and those who performed extreme voluntary service as planners and producers of the many facets that came together for the benefit of our class. Volunteers from the 1965 class who would like to become part of the next effort may contact the Webmaster.
And, in closing (as usual), the Webmaster requests that all 1965 classmates stay in touch, ready to update their altered contact information, stay on the lookout for those we have not previously found and those we had but lost, and stay alive, so that we can see you again in 2020. Planning efforts will activate around January 5, 2019.
